The contract comprised of the demolition of existing shops with flats above and associated site clearance followed by the construction of four new retail units and twenty seven timber framed residential dwellings, over two phases.
The residential dwellings were built to comply with the Housing Corporation Scheme Development Standards (SDS), achieved an ECO Homes Very Good standard and received Secure By Design Accreditation. The residential dwellings were also enhanced to meet the expectations of the sales market as they were sold on a shared ownership basis.
The project included all associated external works with access roads and sewers to an adoptable standard plus all mains utilities and landscaping.
These units formed the final part of a larger scheme which also included four retail units and associated car parking on the same site.
