Project Management and Quantity Surveying services provided to deliver the repair and refurbishment of an existing 170 year old disused stoneworkshop building in order to create a modern flexible teaching and letting space on the ground floor and a new high quality museum exhibition space to the first floor, connected to the existing exhibition spaces via a glazed bridge link. The external re-pointing, re-tiling and paving has been executed in the spirit of conservationism and is in keeping with the character of the surrounding street scene.
The project has been funded by the National Heritage Lottery and project co-ordination and cost consultancy services have been provided to achieve a high quality building to time and budget.
This project won 'Best Small Commercial Building' at the LABC National Building Excellence Awards.
