Derby College/Cedar House Investments Ltd:
Proposed Construction Academy
(Project Co-ordination and Building Cost Consultancy Services)

Armsons are pleased to be providing Project Co-ordination and Building Cost Consultancy Services for the proposed construction academy at Pride Park, Derby. Proposed Construction Academy

Ruskin Mill Land Trust (Cost Consultancy Services)

Armsons are acting as Cost Consultants for Ruskin Mill Land Trust for Phase 2 of the regeneration of the Glasshouses in Stourbridge. The Phase 2 works include a first floor extension, elevation repairs, remodelling and refurbishment to the existing GH1 building together with associated external works, drainage and services.

Speller Metcalfe have been appointed as the main contractor for the project and works started on site on 12 December 2011.

Wellbrook Pharmacy (Quantity Surveying Services)

Armsons provided Quantity Surveying Services to Hilton Property Partnership for the construction of a pharmacy building to shell specification together with minor alterations and external works/drainage.

The building was completed to time and budget and has opened.

Little Croft (Quantity Surveying Services)

Work has now completed on Phase 1 of the Little Croft development in Etwall. Two new detached dwellings where constructed along with the associated infrastructure works at the site in Etwall for Ridding Developments Ltd with Armsons providing Quantity Surveying services. Both plots have now been sold and Phase 2 of the works, which comprise three new detached dwellings with associated site works, is now underway with completion expected in April 2012.

South Staffordshire College: Rodbaston Hall (Project Co-ordinator and Cost Consultant Services)

Armsons provided Project Co-ordination and Cost Consultant services to South Staffordshire College on a £1.1m scheme to repair and refurbish Rodbaston Hall. Works included structural repairs to the upper floors, new windows, renewal of the heating system, upgrading of toilet facilities on each floor and refurbishment of hospitality and office accommodation.

The works were commenced in April 2011 and successfully completed within budget in November 2011.

Imperial Commercials (Quantity Surveying Services)

Armsons recently provided Quantity Surveying services to Imperial Commercials Ltd to create a new £670k VW Van Centre at Mackworth in Derby. The works involved the construction of a new showroom with service bays including external covered area, hardstandings, drainage and services, and was completed in October 2011.

The new showroom is the first of its kind in Europe, and the contractor, JJL Design and Build has been nominated for a quality award.

Repton School: 400 Hall (Quantity Surveying Services)

Armsons provided Quantity Surveying services to Repton School for the alterations and extensions to the existing 400 Hall to create a new 315 seat theatre designed on a similar principle to that of RADA. The project required some complex structural alterations and also included specialist theatre equipment, a new glazed foyer, re-ordering of external hard and soft landscaping and associated drainage works.

Brooksby College: Animal Care Facility (Employer's Agent & Cost Consultant)

Armsons acted as Employer's Agent and Cost Consultant for Brooksby College for their new £1 million state-of-the-art animal care facility which was recently completed. The 8,000 sq ft centre comprises three teaching rooms, changing rooms, a new canteen, a break-out room for students and a new fish, reptile and exotic animal unit.

The building was successfully completed in 29 weeks by Radleigh Construction with the keys being handed over in September 2011.

 

 

Hartshill Community Project (Quantity Surveying )

Armsons are acting as Quantity Surveyors for the project which comprises demolition and replacement of existing ancillary buildings to give new kitchens, toilets, library and meeting rooms. The works commenced in July 2011 with completion expected by Christmas 2011.

 

Cedar House Investments: Lloyds Register Rail (Employers Agent and Cost Consultancy Services)
Works have just commenced to construct a new office building for Lloyds Register Rail at The Point, Pride Park in Derby. The site has been developed by Cedar House Investments and will be constructed by Radleigh Group. The new office should be completed by March 2012. Armsons have been appointed to provide Employers Agent and Cost Consultancy services to Cedar House Investments.
