The scheme comprises of an extension to the existing teaching facilities at the Joseph Wright Sixth Form College for Derby College. The project involved ground remediation to facilitate the build and involved maintaining the operation of the existing facility throughout the construction phase.
The build incorporated provision of high class teaching space and IT facilities and a glazed link section to integrate into the existing college building.
The building has been constructed to a high quality by means of a variety of materials including sto render and blue glazed external facing tiles to augment the existing college building and surrounding vernacular.
The project was completed to budget and opened its doors to students ahead of programme in September 2008.
